Freeway Towing, Inc. is one of a series of towing companies and mechanic shops owned by the Haddad family. As part of their towing business activities, they often come across abandoned trailers of merchandise or are otherwise contacted by estate liquidators who need product moved. Occasionally, Freeway Towing chooses to invest in the items they pick up by purchasing them for resale.
“Normally we have a team of hustlers who go out and sell everything we pick up online, but this load we did with LiquidateNow just wasn’t moving,” says Nadia, who was in charge of finding a way to rehome this inventory. “We had over 22 trailers of assorted unmanifested furniture sitting there for over 2 years – we just couldn’t manage to move it until we found Via Trading,” she explained.
“I sat on it and strugged to find buyers for so long that I was really looking to liquidate it,” Nadia adds. “I don’t think I got as much money as I theoretically could have if I had managed to sell them the way I originally wanted to, but just getting them out of storage and sold was priceless,” she continues.
Nadia reached out to several liquidation companies before deciding to use the LiquidateNow service. “Companies wouldn’t help me because the loads were unamnifested and the trailers were fully packed, making a thorough inspection of the items impossible. But Alain was honest about what I could expect; he told me he’d be willing to try it and had a really hassle-free approach to the whole thing. I’m glad we went for it because I don’t have to worry about them any more but I will never purchase a load of unmanifested furniture trailers again, knowing what I know now,” she states. “I’ll definitely use LiquidateNow again if I get stuck with additional product I can’t move.”
